Roadtrip to Revanasiddeshwara Hills

I was so.. workaholic that, as soon as I heard from srikanth about cancelling the Sirsi trip, I thanked god for giving additional two days (weekends) to work.

But, There was an surprise waiting !!
He is the only person who could pull me out of work !!. My default answer to him when he calls me for a trip or trek is "YES, I AM IN"
Finally he succeeded in  moving me out of my work influenced area by planning a short road trip to Revanasiddeshwara Hills. :)

On this fine Sunday morning. As usual alarm started crying at 4:30 AM and no doubt my response to it is snooze.. Since mom was aware of our trip, she tried to wake me up at 5:30 AM with no luck.
But she knew a trick which can woke me up in less than 30 Seconds. (A phone Call)

Yes, unfortunately it is ONE PHONE CALL.
My 24/7 work has trained my mind in such a way that, I can wake up in less than 30 Seconds when my phone rings. (Don't try to check this trick on me and disturb)

Me, Srikanth & Prashanth assembled near my home at 6:40 AM for a small party with coffee + few motion stoppers (I mean Mari biscuits).
Once we hit the road, Soothing Old Metro music's played in 94.3 FM hooked us from thinking about the time and travel.
In Kamat Lokaruchi, we transferred Masala dosa, Set Dosa, Idli & Vada from plates to stomachs.

Revanasiddeshwara Hills
By 9:00 AM we were atop the hillock, enjoying the cool weather, watching widely spread huge hills, manmade towns and monkey's mischiefs.

60 - 63 KM From Bangalore, Located in Ramanagara
This is an Hillock which is 3066 Feet above Sea Level, which holds Three Temple's namely Renukamba Temple (at bottom), Bheemeshwari Temple (at middle) & Revanasiddeshwara Temple (Shiva)(At top). This hills are also called as SRS Hills.
To get out of the concrete life, have a weekend exercise, smoke free zone, loose the ego & to get away from <fill all your problems here>

Ramaprameya Temple
Had a quick Visit to Ramaprameya Temple
Near Dodda mallur in Channapatana
Sri Aprameya swamy Temple is a very ancient & some documents state it as 1500 years old. Main attraction here is little Krishna's statue, raja gopura & Deepa stamba.
To witness one of the ancient architecture, get divine blessing from the positive forces within the temple.

Heritage Grape Winery
Then it was our time to know, how wine is prepared, processed and provisioned.
We also learnt how to Look, Smell & Taste the wine

Take a Left at kadambam (Channapatnam, Mysore road), 5 KM from there
Heritage Grape Winery is an wine extraction unit, which produces, process & Prepare fine quality wine from grapes of doddaballapur & Bangalore. They also have a tour to show wine prepration procedure, which would cost Rs 150 for your pocket.
To know, how wine is produced. To learn how to look, smell & taste a wine. To taste & buy different types of wine.
[FYI: Wine is not an alcohol, its an juice. Even gods & our ancestors used to drink it. We have to follow it]

After a lip-smacking Puliogre, Sarkar Pongal, full meals & maddur vada, we headed back to Bangalore with a sleepy note (thanks to Srikanth for such a smooth drive).

Nightout @ Bheemeshwari 21-May-2011 to 22-May-2011

It was 12:30 PM, when I closed my Saturday shift and reached home to get ready for something new, As I was not aware of what Bheemeshwari is all about.
One thing I knew was, I am going with a forest Freak, Our own Rohit the Romeo Alias [RED FOX] accompanied by Srikanth Manjunath.

Our time keeper Rohit was yet to make his food shopping.
After a quick shopping @ Food world, we reached near Metro Kanakapura Road by 3:30.
We saw a Guy sitting on his 220 CC Pulsar, holding an Half-finished masala Nuts Pack. This was none other than Ravikanth, Poor guy Waiting for us from 2 Long hours..
Without further delay, we burnt the Wheels and fuel to reach Muthathi Temple around 5:30 PM. We noticed, our travel mate Srikanth’s TVS had a Back wheel Fracture..
Since Rohit & Ravikanth was a mono riders, we parked the Fractured TVS in a safe zone and started towards Bheemeshwari being their pillons..

Had a small photo session near Raama-anjaneya temple on the way and reached the old Abandoned resort near Bheemeshwari
Since the place was converted into Forest Guest house and occupied by someone, There was no place for us to stay. (But our Mother Nature never let us down.)
At 8:30 PM, We identified & camped on a safe area @ banks of the river cauvery, Which was good place for parking our bikes & body.

As soon as the  Campfire started, Our eyes started wetting , Bajji started Sweating & Mouth started watering.(My sincere condolence to the Flies which roasted along with our bajji’s in repeated Light accidents.)
After eating enough bajji’s + MTR Ready to eats, Soul of our Stomach was pleased.

I started to take a nap on mother nature’s lap, Was about to enjoy the sleep.
Around 1:30 AM Rohit started his Saga of being LADY GAGA’s BIG FAN by playing her songs..Which was a terrific slow poison for my sleep..
(Literally those song did not had any Lyrics.. other than GA GA GA GA GA GA……….)

Next Day… A mild sunlight, cool breeze, birds chirping & water’s babbling waked us from our short sleep.   Just in minutes after we woke up, we forgot all night's freak show and had a thankful thought for Mr. Redfox
(for organizing this trip and selecting this cool location)

Nature blessed us with Light Showers for 10 Min, and then we started our Hunting along with our Camera’s…          We were Lucky to sight Deer & Foxes
[For the First time I saw the speed of a child deer which ran between our legs.. (Matches the Lightning speed)]
............Had  breakfast and left for Muthathi , From there Srikanth showed his Rajinikanth style by driving the vehicle sitting on the petrol tank till the puncture shop (13 Kms ahead).
After getting the puncture fixed, we headed towards Bangalore City…. with another great experience.

(KP - 2) Sesha Parvatha [26th & 27th MAR 2011]

Could not stop thinking about it. Whenever my mind is empty….
Same incompleteness bothers me.. & whenever it does so, I used called Srikanth to share this great difficulty.

It is nothing but, Incomplete trek to Kumara Parvatha..

Finally a Day came,
when our [PLAN] was [PREPARED] and ready for [ACTION].
This time Latesh (smarty), yashdeep (sant) & Yoga narasimha (swamiji) joined our jog.

This time we planned to take the Red Bus to enjoy the Bumpy Dumpy Roller coaster ride, Which exactly took 7 hours.

Café Neo Mysore was ready with hot idli’s to serve us after we had freshened up. [Unfortunately No Vada’s]

Around 6:00 AM , With Energetic thought & stamina we started towards the peak with our cameras open .
Localities started showering their stare’s on us since myself and swamiji was on shorts which looked like “School kids, With a water bottle on their neck”.

Without much strain, we reached the first resting point
Bhemana kallu (1st  Water source)
It helped us fill our stomach with rich & natural mineral water, as well as our Memory cards with natural snaps & Scenes.

With little breaks , talks & pranks…

We reached Bhattara mane by 11:15 AM & took rest till they prepared food.
Bhattara mane (2nd Water source & major resting point, also food source)
After Lunch, we continued the trek by paying the entrance fee (200 Rs) @ Forest checkpost.
Sun was in our favour and was not so Hot as we thought earlier.
We reached Mantapa with a little strain.

(3rd Water source & resting Point)

We had our 2ndcourse meal, which was brought by swamiji.
At this point, we saw lot more people on the peak Wandering  here and there. Later we came to know that they were trek extremes from Jenukall & rotikallu resorts (finding an alternate route to other hills)

Sun was @ his best form,
Wind was @ its best calm
What else a trekker needs !!, Everything was in a good condition.

Along with a small pack of photo-shoot we headed up to Sesha parvatha. On the way, swamiji got tired with giddiness , he was not ready to move further. We too stopped for swamiji and was waiting for him to recover.

Slowly & silently…
Sun became Dull, getting covered by Grey clouds
Clouds became Null, by changing its color to black.
In minutes, they became thicker and thicker, giving no space to blue sky.
Showers started its mediacore performance…

We went down to Mantapa, where there was a small stone shelter.
We felt kind of happy for seeing kumara parvath getting drenched in rain, that too in summer…
[Above 3 Images are panorama, do Watch them full screen]
But the Happiness started to Shatter When the clouds started their quarrel which produced Ravishing Rain, Stormy Wind &  deadly thunderbolts.
The shelter could not stand against the Windy rain. We all are completely drenched, struggling to protect our bags.

It was an
Unseen lightning experience..
Unfelt Cold & Shivering.
Mixture of Sunset and Dark Night.

This is the peak time when humans start remembering gods..
Though no one expressed their prayer publicly… The Chant was Continuous from all of us for rain to stop.

This catchy situation cannot be explained in Words……
(Will Try to do a digital paint of what i saw in my feasible time )
Finally We made our mind to climb down to Bhattara mane in that dark evening, no matter what force stops us. (We did not had any other option or shelter)

With torch in his hands, Yashdeep Led us down.
Myself and Latesh carried all the Camera, Mobile & Wallets in our luggage.. Fully covered by Waterproof Sleeping bags.. were in middle.
Srikanth and Swamiji was on our back covering & guiding us.

Finally managed to reach Bhattara mane in our damp cloths.
There we cooked our own MTR Ready to eat foods and sleept , cursing the climate.

We woke up @ morning 6:15 AM and rushed to see the sunrise.
Sun welcomed us with his brilliant charm on the hills, followed by this,
We had a photo & video session, which we could not forget …

Then had breakfast, took enough rest and water… started climbing down @ 10:30 AM and reached kukke @ 3:00 PM

In middle, we got a chance to show our monkey michefs..

Had Bath in Temple Hostels, and light snacks in Mysore café.
After meeting and discussing With Lord Subramanya We catched our red bus to reach our busy buzzing bengaluru…..
